For aircond contractors in Malaysia

Run the company. Not every job in it.

Chance OS is software that puts the day's jobs, who's responsible for what, and each squad's monthly P&L in one place — built inside a working aircond contractor in Malaysia.

Split units, cassettes, VRF, chillers, AHUs, cooling towers.

Sound familiar?

It wasn't badly run. It just ran through me.

We had processes. We had experienced people. The service work was done properly. But too much of the company still came back to me.

Jobs moved through WhatsApp, Excel and conversations. Finished work waited for someone to remember to bill it. The month's results arrived after the decisions had already been made.

The company was growing, but part of how it ran was still in my head. Chance OS started because I wanted CASS to depend more on a system — and less on me.

What changes

Three things change

Less chasing.

Each job you assign goes to the technician's phone, with what to do. The phone won't let the work start without a before photo, or finish without an after photo. The customer can sign on the spot. Finished work goes onto the billing list on its own. Your office works from two lists — done but not billed, and billed but not paid — instead of from memory.

A visit on the technician's phone: customer, date and time, the work to be done, an On Site marker, three before-photos of plant-room ductwork and air handling units, and the Start Visit step below.
Demo company data. A list of invoiced jobs awaiting payment: each row shows the job and address, squad, category, visits, technician, invoice number and date, revenue and the amount collected.

Clearer ownership.

Jobs are assigned to a squad and a technician, so who's responsible for what is on record, not in your head. A squad leader sees their squad's results, not only their jobs.

It won't change people by itself. It gives each squad a clear number of its own.

Demo company data. Squad Breakdown from the P&L: a card for Squad A and one for Squad B, each showing revenue, credit notes, collected, COGS, gross profit, operating expenses and net profit for the rolling 12 months.

Know which squad made money.

One P&L per squad, every month: revenue, costs and net profit, plus the revenue each squad needs this month to break even, based on its last three months. The figures come from what your office records. You see which squads are profitable, and which are below break-even, month by month — not at year end.

If you choose to reward contribution, the same numbers support it. At the end of each payout period, the system works out each squad's pool and each person's share, and locks it. Whether you share the pool or keep it is your decision.

Demo company data. P&L dashboard on the rolling 12-month view to September 2026: gross revenue RM 2,223,050, credit notes RM 1,840, COGS 54.9%, gross profit 45.1%, operating expenses 14.1% and net profit RM 688,829.37 at 31.0%, with a card for each squad showing its revenue, collected, COGS, gross profit, operating expenses and net profit.

Three things, one system. It's how a company starts to run on something other than its owner.

Every job. Every squad. Every ringgit.

One loop, six steps

Job → the technician's phone → the work, with photos → revenue recorded → squad P&L → the pool.

For information, it's a real loop. For money, it's a series of handoffs your office controls: the figures come from financial entries your team records.

Five modules. Six steps.

Built by a contractor

We run our own company on it.

Chance OS was built inside CASS, an aircond contractor in Malaysia, by the person running it. It started as the way we run the company — squads, a P&L for each, a shared pool — and became software once that way was clear enough to write down. CASS runs on it every working day.

What your crews service

The machines you already service

Whatever the machine, every job runs through the same steps.

  • For crews on the daily round of wall, ceiling and floor-standing units.

A wall-mounted split unit, its coil being washed.

Your data

Who can see your data

  • Each company's data is separated in the database, not in the interface. Every lookup is limited to your company before it runs. Your files sit in your company's own folder.

  • Roles, and which squads each person can see, are set per company. A squad leader sees their squad. "All" means all of yours.

  • Before each company joins, we test every rule from a new company's account, including the known ways around them — not from ours.

Does not do

  • Chance OS does not issue invoices or quotations. Your accounting system does that.
  • Chance OS does not plan routes or pick the technician. Your office decides who goes where.
  • There is no profit figure per job. The P&L counts costs and profit per squad — built by month, rolled up by quarter and year.
  • Chance OS does not pay anyone. Each share is paid through your own payroll or bank.
